Freely and Lightly - Emily Lex

My therapist suggested this book to me in a time of upheaval in my life. During this time, I was asking the existential questions like, “who am I now?”, “what am I supposed to do?” and “how do I figure this out?”

While I was searching for answers, in the world, in myself, and in the Bible, my anxiety was creeping up up up. I didn’t know how to slow down, or what it looked like. And, to be honest, I wasn’t sure if slowing down is what I needed to do. I was quite certain that I had put myself in this situation because I hadn’t gone hard enough, tried enough, or was loud enough.

Not only was this book beautiful with the words, but it’s also beautiful with her art included. It helped me to slow down and start to understand what is truly important to me.
