The Family Upstairs - Lisa Jewell
I recently read The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell. Lisa was not an author that I was familiar with, but I love the genre of suspense/thriller. (Gone are the days of only reading romance novels with pastel colored-covers to hide what we’re actually reading.)
This was a well-written book surrounding several characters, and written from their perspectives both in the current day and in the past. I couldn’t get the handle on what was going on for the first few chapters, which kept my interest high. One by one, all of my questions were answered and it all came together.
The baseline plot was one that I hadn’t read before, and Lisa’s creativity in which she writes was pleasant. It was weird. Very weird. But good.
