Ever since I hit puberty, my hair has been curly. During my two pregnancies, the curl changed a bit, but for the most part has been naturally curly. The funny part is, until about 6 months ago, I straightened it EVERY DAY. Round brush blow dry, flat iron and all. Stick straight. Unless I curled it with a curling iron. DURP. Stupid me.
One day, I had enough. I had enough of it taking me literally an hour to do my dang hair. So, I let it go curly. And, then I learned how to do it even better. Here is the video with all of my tips.
**DISCLAIMER**: No, this video isn’t perfect. No, I cannot guarantee that this will work for you. Yes, I’m from Minnesota. Yes, this is my bathroom. That is all.
Here’s the thing. It’s not actually about how I do my hair. It’s that, after literally almost 20 years of denying and hiding this about myself, I learned to embrace it. And, now it’s a part of who I am, maybe even part of my identity.
So, here’s my question: What is one part of yourself that you hide, cover up, or deny that is actually a part of your beautiful, true, genuine self? What can you do to embrace it?
